High Tunstall College is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and forward-thinking Technician to support the work of the Creativity, Design and Technology Faculties. This is a fantastic opportunity to join dynamic teams, which are driving the College forward to continued improvement and success.

The post will be supporting 2 Faculties within the College; Technology & Enterprise and Creativity. The successful post holder will be responsible for ordering and preparing materials (woods, metals, textiles, card…) for practical in technology subjects. Also, to work alongside the teachers and students during the practical lessons and helping students use the machinery safely. They will be expected to service and maintain the machinery and keep up to date with stock checks and health and safety needs, risk assessments and keeping the workshop area in good working order. The successful post holder will support within Creativity across the disciplines; preparing art materials, operating the kiln to fire clay, maintaining and ordering stock for Art, Music and Drama, ensuring classrooms are ready for practical lessons including practice rooms in Music and maintaining the props area for Drama.
