Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to demonstrate Film Production equipment to Students and Staff, and support the operational delivery of our Film Production Technical Team, including our equipment loan service.
The role holder will work alongside the Film Production teaching and technical team as well as the Media & Technical Equipment Store to facilitate the loan of film production equipment. The role also includes responsibility for preparation and maintenance of equipment, and organisation and development of facilities for the programme.
The role requires knowledge and experience of film production techniques and hardware, organising and maintaining resources and administration skills. An ability to undertake heavy lifting and working at height is a requirement of the role.

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate correct methods and techniques for a range of specialist equipment and software related to film production, to staff, students and external clients.
Provide dedicated technical and maintenance support of specialist filming equipment and facilities ensuring that KPIs for performance and equipment uptime are met.
- Undertake selection, installation and commissioning of new hardware and software, procuring capital and consumable items in accordance with University purchasing policies and monitoring appropriate use of budgets.
- Provide specialist consultation to other members of staff regarding the planning and use of equipment and facilities.For a full list of responsibilities please see the Job Description.
