Purpose of Role

As an experienced Digital Creative Designer, you will be part of our centralised creative team and support all areas of the business. With a real creative eye for promotional content, a good understanding of digital media, digital marketing campaigns, customer engaging content and print, you will work very closely with the Product, Digital, Sales and HR teams to create innovative & engaging communication & marketing campaigns.

Working in an agile & fast paced environment, your creative flair will transform a stakeholder brief into the development, design & delivery of engaging assets for use across website, email, social, print and other platforms.

From designing marketing emails, to producing web banners, through to leaflets and brochures to large format print your role as a Digital Creative Designer is demanding, exciting and diverse. Your role will demand up-to-date knowledge of trends, styles, what’s new and industry software.

Managing multiple design briefs at any one time, requires your focus, robust time management and a very high attention to detail and accuracy, bringing the Cromwell brand to life in all your creations.


Role Responsibilities

  • Design creative requirements for Email, Social, Web & Digital platforms
  • Collaborative responsibility for campaign performance, testing & analysis capturing successes & learnings
  • Design creative requirements for print, from brochures and leaflets through to large format
  • Highly creative and results driven
  • Proactively ideate and develop innovative ideas to bring our brand and business to life within the digital space
  • Support achievement of business goals and objectives through your designs & achievement of high conversion rates
  • Produce designs that deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Design mobile-friendly layouts for email campaigns, social campaigns, landing pages etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of image manipulation
  • Proactive, high energy, results orientated & enthusiastic approach to your work
  • Produce creative ideas and concepts and develop design through innovating, thinking and competitor research
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to discuss & fully understand the business objectives and requirements of the job, supporting the completion of a design brief
  • Calculate and plan time required to complete the work.
  • Proof reading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
  • Preparing work by gathering information and materials.
  • Assisting other team members to plan concepts by studying information and materials.
  • A thorough understanding of the company’s brand and corporate guidelines, being a strong ambassador for the brand by ensuring all work encompasses the guidelines.
  • Support & educate stakeholders to understand the brand guidelines and their purpose.
  • Working with a range of media across all channels and keeping up to date with emerging technologies
  • Very high attention to detail required with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels and functions within the wider business.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, speed, and accuracy, working at pace are a must have.
  • Art-directing photographers and videographers.
  • The ability to work independently & as part of a team.
  • The ability to create ideas and show industry developments that will promote the business.
  • Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for output across a variety of media outputs.
  • Prepare finished artwork ready for print.
  • Using large format output to produce banners and or posters as and when needed.
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within time and cost constraints.
  • Very high attention to detail required with a high degree of accuracy.

Experience, Knowledge & skills:

  • Experience of using a variety of packages such as Creative Cloud, with the main skill in InDesign, XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects
  • Full Creative Suite with strong HTML and coding skills, proactive approach to ideas
  • Passion and enthusiasm for design and highly creative
  • Experience in designing websites and an understanding of the customer journey.
  • Proactive approach to ideas with an understanding of brand design and creative trends
  • Working knowledge of Premier Pro advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Creates positive people partnerships, earning the trust & respect of others.
  • Is not afraid to instil new approaches and break down barriers to reach the best solution(s)
  • Customer focussed, with willingness to adapt designs & creations to fully meet customer /stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to prioritise workload when original targeted timelines change.
  • An influential communicator with the ability to interpret and negotiate briefs with stakeholders.
  • Assisting other team members to plan concepts by studying information and materials.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage several projects at a time.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail when finalising designs
  • Give and receive re-directional feedback, with the intent of creating the best possible designs.
  • Highly organised and motivated with a can-do attitude and a strong teamwork ethic.
  • Proactive approach to personal development
  • Ability to coach and share best practice with other team members and the wider business.
  • Knowledge and understanding surrounding the requirements and process for print work.
  • A design or creative focussed qualification
  • Proactive, high energy, results orientated & enthusiastic.
