The Wensum Trust is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic colleague to join our Friendly team of professionals at Heather Avenue Infant School.

As part of The Wensum Trust, we believe that our shared duty is to help every child to develop into high achieving, confident, healthy, caring and resilient members of their family and community. We want our schools to be healthy environments where both children and staff can develop and where strong, positive relationships are key. Our school, therefore, practices a relational approach with children, our families and our communities. We are particularly interested in working with people who share Our Qualities; who will work effectively and flexibly as part of a team.

At Heather Avenue Infant School we are committed to preparing children for a bright future in a changing world.

We enjoy getting to know every child, and their family, so that we can understand individual needs and ensure a positive learning experience for all. As a school community we work together to deliver an exceptional learning experience, using wonderful stories and themes to stimulate engagement, thought and learning.

Children at our school enjoy learning and achieve incredibly well because of our outstanding curriculum, and we have put in place a programme of awards to continually maintain its quality. Our incredibly caring and nurturing staff put the needs of our children first and take a holistic approach to supporting positive emotional health and wellbeing as well as academic progress. We aim to maintain an environment where children are kind to one another, enjoy their time at school, feel safe and are high-achieving.

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work across our Infant phase classrooms covering for class teachers as required. The right candidate should be able to supervise classes of students and deliver work for the children as set by teachers. We welcome people who can bring a real enthusiasm to the school, care for our pupils and who will continue to raise the already high standards of achievement.

Being a part of The Wensum Trust’s family of schools offers employees unique experiences to work alongside our strategic partners and to collaborate with a wider network of staff. We believe in investing in employees as individuals, by providing training opportunities that help to develop both existing and new skill sets, to encourage career progression at all levels.

We care about bringing together the most able people, to help us achieve our vision of providing a rounded education for children, quality support for their families and opportunities to enrich our communities.
