Court of Protection Solicitor 2+ PQE, Worcestershire, £Excellent plus comprehensive benefits. The role will encompass drafting and administering Court of Protection Property and Affairs Applications, for in house Professional Deputies.Court Of Protection Solicitor
You will be drafting and administering Court of Protection Property and Affairs Applications, for in house Professional Deputies, Court of Protection Property and Affairs & Health and Welfare Applications. Managing Court of Protection Applications re statutory wills, drafting applications for additional deputy powers, such as to commence litigation or buy/sell property, appointment of second trustees, authority to make gifts, etc. Case Management of in house Deputy/Attorney complex cases including budget setting and investment management work. Dealing with Contested applications and Dispute Resolution Hearings. To carry out any other duties as may be allocated by the Partners.
Knowledge & Experience
A comprehensive understanding of Court of Protection Rules, OPG Professional Deputy Standards, Solicitors Accounts Rules and Law and the legal context, including resources to maintain continuous professional development. Ability to work within a team and interact effectively with others. Articulate with a high level of attention to detail. Organised and able to handle a busy and varied workload. Committed to a high level of client service. Proactive and tenacious in seeking to resolve client matters irrespective of their nature. IT literate with experience of the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of using legal software, including SOS case management, is desirable. Ability to interact effectively with others, both face to face and over the telephone, including an excellent telephone manner. A high level of attention to detail. Focused on achieving goals, adopting a proactive can do attitude. Use initiative, work creatively and solves problems. Highly motivated and willing to learn. An understanding of and adherence to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times.
