About You

About The Role

We are looking for an OMRON Healthcare UK (OHU) Country Sales Manager to lead our team in our wholly owned subsidiary in OHU, KOL development working with associations & NGOs, drive sales, create new channel developments and harness activities across a wide range of areas.

We are looking for someone who will embrace change and is comfortable with selling services, solutions and enjoys using data to persuade and encourage new outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity which for the right candidate will help them develop into a senior leader. The role will report to Europe and Africa Sales Director.

Key Activities
  • Manage and control the sales team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, work allocation, and P&L responsibility for all sales activities.
  • Figurehead OMRON UK senior manager position at KOL events at local, regional, national and government level.
  • Plan, negotiate, agree and control the annual sales budget for the designated country in order to achieve sales turnover and gross-profit targets.
  • Develop a strategic long term, midterm and annual business plan in order to achieve sales and profits targets.
  • Build up and maintain good business relationships between OMRON and (potential) customers, opinion leaders, pharmacists and other influential persons in clinics and the field of medical practitioners in the designated country. One customer will be managed directly by this role as a house account.
  • Manage annual sales promotions and special sales campaigns for the responsible area in co-ordination with Marketing and Business Development.
The Ideal Candidate Would Have
  • Experience in the fields of healthcare or FMCG or related industry
  • Experience of presenting to industry bodies, lobbying for a cause, persuading KOLs to support OMRON and push awareness of OMRON uniqueness, products and services
  • Experience in selling solutions or services to large companies or public organisations with ideally subscription-based business model
  • People Management experience in leading a team of sales professionals
  • At least five years of practical experience in sales forces or product management
  • Practical experience of at least five years with verifiable success in the area of executive and project management
  • Knowledge of Contract Law is advantageous
  • Knowledge of OTC Sales, the pharmaceutical market and/or a medical environment is advantageous
  • Proficient in the English and local language, both written and verbal
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Driver’s license
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skill
