Counterbalance/ Forklift Warehouse Operative (DAYS)

We are recruiting for Counterbalance/ Forklift Warehouse Operative (DAYS)in Pontarddulais! Our customer, a leading warehouse and distribution company responsible for the distribution of books, are looking for energetic, motivated individuals to join their team.

As a CCounterbalance/ Forklift Warehouse Operative (DAYS), you will need to:

  • Counterbalance/ Forklift driving experience
  • Warehouse experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Confidence to work alone and within a team.
  • Computer knowledge useful but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Have experience working in a similar role (ideal but not a requirement)
  • Be able to pick up to 25kg

All new starters will receive thorough training, and will receive daily feedback & coaching on performance.

We offer ongoing employment to those who join this team, providing your absence levels remain low, and you can achieve the required pick targets.

  • Salary: £10p/h increasing to £10.75 after 26 weeks
  • Overtime paid at x1.5 rate (over 37.5 hours)
  • Weekend overtime paid at x2 rate (Saturday overtime is a requirement from Sept-Dec)
  • Working hours are Monday - Friday (You must be available from 6am-6pm, however shifts are typically 8 hours)
