Corporate Tax Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a corporate tax manager to join our busy tax department. The role is wide ranging and challenging, offering scope for excellent professional development due to the complex UK and international tax issues arising in the UK Group. You will be responsible for corporate tax compliance and reporting on a number of trading and corporate entities, as well as providing indirect tax, transaction and project support across our UK operations (development support as required).

Description of Team / Department

The UK tax department is a team of 7 headed by the Director of Tax & Treasury. We are responsible for all taxes impacting the domestic commercial operations as well as many corporate companies with inbound and outbound tax issues.

Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role

The role encompasses corporate tax compliance, reporting and project work. You will:

  • be responsible for the corporation tax compliance and reporting on a number of trading and corporate entities e l as the day-to-day transaction support to the UK operations as required
  • work with the team across all corporate tax areas including SAO, tax risk management and governance, transfer pricing, capital allowances, UK group planning etc
  • provide indirect tax, transaction and project support across all taxes in domestic and international tax matters (with development support as required)
  • provide tax review of non-CT tax returns prepared by UK Finance (with development support as required)

Skills / Experience

We are looking for someone with corporate tax experience, preferably from a mid/large tax firm or with in-house experience. You should have an organised approach and the ability to manage projects and multiple deadlines. We will always look at any ambitious or exceptional candidate but you will preferably already have a tax qualification/ ACA and a good overall tax awareness.
