The Corporate Governance Assistant supports a number of corporate governance tasks by providing a comprehensive and high quality administrative/secretariat service to the Corporate Governance Manager, Executive Support Manager and Non-Executive Directors (NEDs). The post holder is also the Executive Assistant to the Director of Corporate Affairs.The post holder will be an integral part of a busy corporate team working in Trust HQ where a strong ‘customer service’ ethic and ‘can-do’ attitude to work is essential. The role requires the post holder to be very organised, with highly developed communication skills (written, verbal and non-verbal) and a good attention to detail. The post holder is required to be able to work on his/her own initiative at times.Communication & Relationship SkillsThe postholder is required to provide and receive complex and sensitive information while engaging with Trust staff, members of the Board of Directors and Council of Governors, members, prospective members and other key stakeholders. This involves developing good working relationships with people internal and external to the Trust, ensuring that advice and guidance is clear particularly where there may be barriers to understanding – for example the complex requirements of corporate meetings or Board or Council appointments. The post holder is also required to support the onboarding of new Board members or new Governors.We are always looking for enterprising and innovative approaches to the way we provide our services.
