Your main responsibilities as Corporate Counsel at Labcorp Drug Development will be to:
  • Serves as legal advisor to the Drug Development business segment
  • Advise function leadership and managers regarding contract negotiations, dispute resolution, policy and compliance matters within the business segment, novel business issues and contributes to the development and implementation of contracting policies and risk management strategies
  • Advise contract managers and function leadership regarding customer contracts, vendor contracts, site agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other contracts as assigned under the supervision of Legal department leadership
  • Develops, support and contribute to the continuous improvement of Legal processes and procedures including contractual templates, risk mitigation strategies, and function-specific legal research
  • Support corporate initiatives including corporate administration, transactions, dispute resolution, and other legal department initiatives as required
Education/Qualifications
  • An LLB degree or equivalent from a law society accredited law school is required (will consider newly-qualified)
Experience
  • Previous experience in reviewing legal documents with clients, vendors and other third party providers preffered
  • Experience in contract dispute resolution
  • Preference for pharmaceutical or life sciences background but will consider other backgrounds
