MISSION

The Corporate Account Manager promotes and sells the full range of Gilson products, including instruments, pipettes, consumables and services within their designated accounts in order to meet or achieve budgeted sales goals. This individual follows sales best practices to achieve these goals, fostering a healthy, sustainable customer relationship by focusing on customer retention, development, penetration and continuing satisfaction. Leverages local sales, global Gilson marketing, product management and operations resources to deliver bespoke solutions to delight our corporate account customers. Operates in a matrixed environment coordinating various teams and team members to deliver on our corporate promises. Directly impacts Gilson’s mission to enable verifiable science by engaging with the largest and most significant organisations in our major markets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Understand Customer Corporate strategy

  • Share throughout Gilson organization
  • Transfer Customer Corporate strategy into a Gilson development plan and evaluate sales channels and competitors

2 Grow sustainable and profitable Gilson revenue at corporate accounts

  • Own Key account organizational mapping
  • Own Revenue capture plans on separation, purification and liquid handling (products & services)
  • Delegate or run revenue capture plans
  • Ensure proper execution of contractual terms & conditions
  • Monitor Customer commitment to contractual terms & conditions
  • Improve quality of relationship to create sustainable brand awareness and customer intimacy
  • Optimize DSO
  • Identify co-development opportunities
  • Evaluate customer marketing needs and help define marketing campains . Execute on-site implementation

3 Monitor funnel for selected accounts and lead recovery plans

  • Lead and manage rep activities at customer sites
  • Reports to both Area sales Director & Global Corporate Director
  • Propose potential Corporate accounts

Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

Degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3 years’ sales experience in a related industry or combination of highly technical background and sales experience.

SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE

Training in laboratory sciences and/or life sciences.

Computer proficiency required.

CRM “fluency” for daily usage plus feeding and maintenance

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write business correspondence and reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, dealers, and company personnel.

Ability to solve technical problems and deal with a variety of variables.

Strong organizational skills.

Comprehensive selling skills and techniques including negotiation.

Fluent in English.

OTHER

A valid driver’s license and good driving record

Up to 60% travel including overnight stays.

Regular attendance and punctuality.

Ability to work well with others.

Ability to acquire new skills and to accommodate change in the workplace.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE DESIRED

Training or experience in laboratory or research instrumentation use.

Experience using Gilson pipettes and instrumentation.

Training in analytical or organic chemistry.

Experience in selling capital equipment.
