Priory Hospital Dewsbury, 32 bed locked rehabilitation service comprising one 16 bed ward which is dementia and behaviours that challenge and one 16 bed ward this supports men with mental health difficulties.

Job Advert Role Description

    

We are looking for a chef qualified to NVQ2 or equivalent in catering and with relevant experience within a professional kitchen environment.

Main Responsibilities Of The Role Will Be
  • To undertake the planning, preparation and cooking of meals, taking account of any special requests or dietary requirements within the unit.
  • To take full shift responsibility for the catering operation (in the absence of the Head Chef)
  • Ensuring the cost effective and efficient control of stock including placing orders for food products and the checking of deliveries. Ensuring that wastage is minimised
  • Assisting the Head Chef by researching and creating new menus ensuring meals are of a high quality and compliment healthy eating guidelines.
  • Supervision of any catering staff as and when required.
