Permanent Position:Control Room Operator

Salary: £31,099 (consolidated salary)

Hours of Work:Average of 42 hours per week

4 on 4 off 12 hour shift pattern plus flexibility to provide cover for absence

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual with relevant experience to join our team as Control Room Operator. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Operations Manager and be responsible for ensuring effective operation of the control room to achieve the objectives and vision of the Humber Bridge Board (HBB), whilst ensuring compliance with its statutory duties and exercising its public functions.

Key responsibilities for the postholder:

• Effective operation of the control room to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow across the bridge through effective and safe Network Management and Incident Management.
• HBB carries out its duty as a Highway Authority
• Dispatching information to support the Security and Traffic Officers in responding to arising situations on the bridge and its estate.
• Monitor and control CCTV and specialist applications such as weather and traffic.
• Security of the Humber Bridge, buildings, infrastructure and estate.

You will deliver assistance and offer advice whilst resolving issues, where possible at the earliest opportunity.

The postholder will be required to work shifts covering the 24/7 operation of the Humber Bridge.
