Contracts Manager - Insurance Reinstatement ProjectsHome Based - Around Orpington, Bromley, Dartford, Maidstone (SE London / Kent)£35,000 - 42,000 plus car / allowance (£5k)The successful Contracts Manager will be home-based ideally in SE London / Kent (or close surrounding area) but working as part of a strong team (both office & field based), dealing with insurance claim reinstatement works within a designated patch around your postcode. Ideally, this would suit a Contracts Manager who is keen to expand their skills and experience into a subsidence speciality role over time (additional training & support will be provided).Experience having used Symbility, Xactimate, Blueprint, Synergy or other similar scoping tools (system based schedule of rates) is highly advantageous for this role. If not, you will need to be very IT confident and willign to be trained to learn new systems.Contracts Manager Job Role And Responsibilities
  • Manage a case load of property reinstatement projects (domestic & commercial)
  • Schedule repairs/redecoration works and produce scopes
  • Manage contractors and repairs projects to completion (inc. cost management)
  • Ensure Health & Safety / CDM compliance & carry out site audits
  • Identify new contractors for addition to the network as required
  • Performance manage/audit the contractors in your area
What skills/experience will you need?Experience in contract managing property refurbishments / reinstatement projects is essential. Some subsidence experience/knowledge would be ideal (but not essential) as you will be dealing with the ’post subsidence stabilisation’ reinstatement works (crack repairs/redecoration etc.)
  • Ideally you will have worked for a loss adjuster, insurance company or specialist contractor - or private sector property refurbishments.
  • Knowledge of the home insurance claims process, perils and cover would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of; Asbestos Handling, CDM, DPA, H&S, Party Wall Act
  • Ideally; a building/technical related qualification such as an HNC or Building Surveying/Engineering Degree and/or Cert CII.
  • You will need strong customer service, communication & organisational skills, be IT literate and have a full UK driving licence.
