Joining our Operational Excellence team as a Continuous Improvement Officer you will work with the Site Continuous Improvement Manager and wider site team to support and deliver continuous improvement activities at our Morpeth site. Using proven lean six sigma tools and techniques in line with the Piramal OE framework and DMS structure; the continuous improvement officer will help to identify and implement activities and projects to achieve site KPIs.

Whilst no day within Piramal is the same, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the CI manager to develop and support the delivery of the site strategy and long-range plan. Engaging all employees and teams in the relevant OE activities across the site
  • Championing the strategy deployment effectively and efficiently, striving towards the objectives of Zero Defects, Zero Deterrents, Zero Harm, and Zero Waste.
  • Driving the deployment of the DMS program as per the corporate guidelines.
  • Executing LSS projects and activities to address identified business problems to deliver on site KPIs. Leading on short- and long-term actions. Using data to track and prove success of projects and activities implemented
  • Facilitating delivery of the LSS belt program
  • Identifying and share best practices on site from all departments and across the network
  • Leading root cause analysis investigations, Kaizen and idea generation sessions

To be successful in this role, you will be able to showcase your ability to form strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will use your LSS Green Belt (or Black) to demonstrate your methodologies in cross functional projects. Your experience of working in a regulated fast paced manufacturing environment will allow you to showcase your ability to work autonomously and proactively. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and appropriate DMAIC processes.
