Main duties of the job

Main duties include:
  • Providing a comprehensive therapeutic radiographer consultant service for patients requiring radiotherapy as an integral part of the wider MDT, working closely with the Consultant Oncologists.
  • Planning the delivery of radiotherapy treatment, which includes outlining tumour volumes and surrounding organs at risk and prescribe within protocol.
  • Be responsible for the review of this group of patients, both on treatment and in the OP clinic
  • Undertake independent and/or supplementary prescribing of medication within Trust protocols.
  • To undertake appropriate clinical assessment of patients attending clinics prior to, during and post radiotherapy treatment.
