Consultant, Special Fares (Hybrid)
Full time, Hull, UK
This position is responsible for the ticketing fulfilment including changes and cancellations of Special Fares tickets in the UKIE. It includes operational consultative support and together with team members strategically load fares to ensure maximum impact and usage.
Ideal candidate will have previous agency operations experience, and in-depth knowledge of at least one GDS. Strong attention to detail and the ability to understand the components of complex airline tariff rules and the ability to work to tight time deadlines is preferred.
As a Consultant, Special Fares, you will
- Provide fulfilment to the Operational departments for ticketing, changes, and refunds
- Analyze and interpret private and agency airline contracts and tariffs
- Provide support to the relevant departments by validating and testing within the live environment
- Maintaining knowledge of BCD preferred vendor programs and communicating requirements
- Provide support to the Operational departments to implement or resolve all reported related discrepancies for new, amended or extended airline contracts
About you
- In-depth knowledge of at least one GDS
- Understanding of how to display and read fare tariffs
- Some understanding of airline contracts – Nett Fare or client
- Relevant experience in travel operations position
- Multi GDS pricing formats and functionality required
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
