Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with an interest in Oncology

This is an exciting opportunity to join our current team of eleven consultants in a friendly & supportive department, leading and delivering Womens health services in beautiful central North Wales. This is a full time substantive post in obstetrics & gynaecology, with the main commitment in gynae oncology. It includes contribution to the non-resident on call rota for both obstetrics and gynaecology. This is a replacement post but with a new emphasis to support the gynaecology oncology service, and experience of laparoscopic hysterectomy is desired to support the development of laparoscopic surgery on site.

The post will be of interest to both a newly qualified consultant as well as an established consultant with special interest in gynae oncology and/or benign gynaecology/minimal access surgery. The post will be based at Glan Clwyd Hospital in central North Wales. The post is advertised as 10 sessions per week, additional sessions may be available by mutual agreement.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

• Appropriate experience in training grade posts leading to accreditation for UK CCST or recognised equivalent (Equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of interview) Equivalent training accepted by College/GMC for Specialist Register (CESR). Experience of working in busy tertiary units at Registrar level or higher
