The COVID pandemic has highlighted the importance of our local environment. We consider ourselves very fortunate in Devon to have space and natural beauty on our doorstep. If you are looking to make a positive change in your life, then we are looking for consultant colleagues to join our team in Acute Medicine in North Devon. You will be joining a team of forward thinking doctors in a dynamic trust, able to effect changes in our service.

Our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) project is our way of innovating care. We wish to expand this service, which is how these new jobs arise. As a consultant group we value family life and so promote part time working, plus diverse portfolios, to make our jobs balanced and sustainable.

North Devon is a great place to live and bring up a family. We have outdoor appeal with our beautiful national parks and coastline. Local beaches such as Woolacombe and Saunton stretch as far as the eye can see. The area offers some of the best surfing and water sports in the country and polls highly as one of the UK’s best places to live.

NDDH has a small sized Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) of 26 beds and a newly developed SDEC area. Here we offer rapid access to diagnostics and procedures. Suitable patients are processed by experienced middle grade doctors and Advanced Care Practitioners. We are building our percentage of patients though same day care; this is where these new roles come in.
