Construction Lawyer required for a leading international, award winning law firm at newly qualified level

Your new company

This is a very large, highly reputable and award winning law firm who are looking to grow and expand their construction and projects team in Manchester with the appointment of a newly qualified lawyer. The firm have won a vast number of highly regarded legal awards, and are the leading organisation for providing legal services to businesses and companies.

Your new role

The firm have an unrivalled reputation in acting for employers, funders, project companies, contractors, consultants and insurers. They act for over half of the UK’s top 50 contractors, a large number of the top contractors worldwide and an impressive range of private and public sector clients. The Construction and Engineering team act across the sectors including infrastructure and energy (nuclear, renewable, conventional and oil and gas), property, waste, education, transport and health.

In the Manchester office, the firm lead on the contracting of major national and international construction and development projects, with a strong team handling projects across the built environment for government bodies, developers, main contractors and funders. The work covers large energy, transportation, commercial/residential real estate, industrial and technology projects.

What you’ll need to succeed

The successful candidate for this role must be a qualified lawyer or upcoming NQ in construction. The team’s pipeline is such that the opportunity would best suit a candidate well versed in infrastructure and energy related transactional construction work. This candidate may have the opportunity of exposure to both construction and projects work so experience and flexibility in that regard is an advantage.
