Salary: £22,277 based on 28 hours worked a week across 4 days plus 3% pension contribution

Contract: 1 year with the possibility of extension

Location: Hybrid working (with at least 1-day /week based at our office in Yate town centre)

What do we do?

At CVS South Gloucestershire, we support our local charities, voluntary groups, and social enterprises in build stronger communities. We empower local people and groups to come together and take collective action that provides solutions to meet common problems by:

  • Providing high quality support services to develop the capability and capacity of local voluntary and community (VCSE) organisations
  • Enabling communities to have a strong voice locally and further afield and working with them to help find and deliver their own solutions
  • Supporting community/VCSE groups to work together, sharing knowledge and expertise
  • Supporting the development of good leadership in our communities and VCSE groups
  • Promoting Active Citizenship across South Gloucestershire

Role Description

Charities, community groups and social enterprises are now more important within our society than ever before, with interest in volunteering and local level support at an all-time high.

The aim of this role is to maximise the opportunities presented by all types of funders and supporters and to link-up the VCSE sector to these opportunities to generate income/resources and to deliver services.

In this role you will support bidding for, and planning delivery of, public sector contracts and grants, identify funding and income opportunities (including trading and grants), facilitate partnerships, advise groups and organisations on funding and bidding, and to develop and nurture links with private sector businesses to benefit VCSE organisations, maximising the resources invested in the South Gloucestershire VCSE.
