Title: Configuration Engineer Salary: Dependent on experience Working hours: Day Shift, Monday - Friday Location: Shepshed, Leicestershire We have an exciting opportunity to join our client, a unique engineering organisation as a Configuration Engineer. Interested to learn more, call Vikki! The Configuration Engineer Role:

  • Oversee and manage all configuration activities; including updated logs, documentation control and ensuring materials are available to present
  • Lead the Change Control Board meetings and ensure agreed plans/actions are carried out
  • For the change control process ensure the organisation are achieving industry standards, regulatory guidelines and company necessities
  • Ensure relevant documentations are maintained, recorded and stored accurately: including customer specifications, digital data and engineering drawings
  • Create technical bid packs to support the quotation process
  • Review customer portals to ensure aware of any updates, new documents or changes and ensure these are added to the system and communicated out
  • Provide and issue technical drawings and specifications for subcontracted work
  • Ensure maintaining the integrity of the configuration data and ensuring efficient and smooth workflows within the organisation
  • Working to the company’s Continuous Improvement ethos You’ll Need:
  • Previous experience of managing data bases and configuration data. With exposure to document control including able to organise, catalogue and securely store technical documents
  • Previously operated within a manufacturing or engineering setting. Highly desirable to have composites experience.
  • Able to read technical drawings and specifications
  • Experienced in analysing, interpreting data and identifying trends
  • Good decision making skills based on quality metrics and KPI’s
  • Able to resolve issues linked to configuration management, document control, and data integrity
  • Able to communicate with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Highly organised, methodical and has attention to detail
