DURATION- 6 MONTHS WITH A SCOPE FOR EXTENSION

EMPLOYED CONSULTANT VIA AJILON (paying a competitive salary)

Our client is an International energy and services company providing energy services to consumers across the globe and driving innovative products and solutions to drive power to the customer in more ways than one.

About the role

Prepares and maintains detailed design drawings, schematics or specifications typically using computer-aided design software | Works closely with design originators (e.g., engineers, designers) to resolve design details or discrepancies or to prepare drawings of unusual, complex or original designs which require a high degree of precision using computer-aided drafting (CAD) or computer-aided engineering (CAE) equipment | Creates, modifies and controls detailed two- and three-dimensional parts and assembly drawings from engineers’ and technicians’ sketches, plans and written and verbal instructions | Develops and maintains drafting standards and procedures | Evaluates and recommends purchase of CAD/CAE-related computer hardware and software

Product/Solutions Development

• Deliver industry leading energy generation solutions for industrial and commercial customers, working alongside technical engineering teams.

• Ensure all work is achieved within agreed timescales, cost constraints and quality standards.

• Work to P&ID diagrams to provide a to fully detailed 3D/2D general arrangement, assembly drawings and detailed/dimensioned fabrication drawings for the CHP system (e.g. bedframe, pipework, enclosure etc.)

• Work with equipment schedules import/model key supplier components

• Liase with new product development product and CEI teams to produce fully detailed model/design as well as create a BOM using the inhouse parts management software and standard company approach.

• Liase with other parts of the business to communicate design intent and release of BOM’s, parts and drawings (including purchasing, production and project management)

• Responsible for preparing, presenting and agreeing design recommendations, with appropriate analysis of risk, and taking account of cost, quality, safety, reliability, appearance and fitness for purpose.

• Conduct design reviews with other departments to gauge feedback/acceptance from wider business.

• Create & maintain technical construction files for CHP designs to comply with best practice and CE legislation

• Thoroughly check colleagues design work including models, specifications and detailed drawings.
