OVERALL SUMMARY

Join Close Brothers Compliance advisory Team where you will work closely with management to ensure regulatory and compliance risks are managed in a manner which preserves agreed risk appetite and supports business growth. Our ideal team member will have previous experience of working in a Compliance function within financial services, ideally in a lending organisation

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Compliance Manager to provide compliance advisory services on a variety of topics, including changes to customer-facing documents, procedure reviews, product oversight, incentive schemes, third party oversight, complaints handling and vulnerable customers.

Act as a key member of projects, regulatory working groups such as Customer Forums, Vulnerable Customer Committees as well as others, providing insight and recommendations to the business as required.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with key Compliance stakeholders, particularly with Risk, Legal and Business Assurance.

Provide advice, guidance and support on regulatory issues as required, particularly CCA, CONC, SYSC8, DISP and ICOBS.

Analyse regulatory developments, such as FCA, PRA and EU legislation, to interpret the impact to the business areas; conducting gap analyses where appropriate.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF / PLEASE APPLY IF:
2 to 4 years of experience of working in a Compliance function within financial services, ideally in a lending organisation or within the insurance industry.

Understanding of the regulatory requirements which apply to Premium Finance including the Consumer Credit Act and FCA’s Consumer Credit sourcebook (CONC).

Experience navigating the FCA Handbook.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
Ability to think strategically, commercially and grasp concepts in a bigger picture context.

Working knowledge of FCA Handbook sections SYSC, CONC, DISP, ICOBS.

Specific experience with lending products identified under purpose of the role.
