Role Purpose: *
At Curve, we obsess about our customers through innovating and working iteratively to solve problems that aren’t being tackled by conventional banking.
We’re recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Compliance Manager to sit within our growing UK Compliance team whose mission will be to enable the team to design high-quality compliant experiences in the UK and EEA.
You’ll work with our Head of Compliance to propagate a strong compliance ethos and ensure there are robust controls in place for this fast growing dynamic Electronic Money Institution.

We focus on making an impact as individuals and as a group. You’ll be led by a talented and knowledgeable Head of Compliance, General Counsel and Exec team.

Key Accountabilities: *

• Provide advice on the application of the FCA Handbook, covering areas such as general conduct of business, financial promotions, communications and systems and controls.
• Input into the key regulatory touch points in the customer’s onboarding journey and ensure these are compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure compliant product design and launch.
• Review and approve marketing materials (including financial promotions) to ensure these are compliant with applicable rules.
• Assist with regulatory due diligence on prospective third parties
• Horizon scanning to keep up to date with the relevant consumer laws, regulations and best practices.
• Regular testing of compliance policies and procedures to ensure these are followed across the organisation.
• Review and update policies and procedures to reflect changes in legislation and the business.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years’ experience in a compliance role.
• Thorough knowledge of the various legal and regulatory considerations related to regulated products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to summarise and interpret regulation and legal implications.
• Experience in writing, managing, and implementing policies.
• Self starting and willing to work independently and in a collegiate fashion as needed.
