Job DescriptionOur Compliance teams work globally across all lines of business to advise internal stakeholders on the impact of regulatory requirements and how to balance these with the firm’s needs. Their diverse mandate means they also provide input on new business strategies, product lines, policies, training, operational processes, risk mitigation and control.In Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) team you will be responsible for developing and implementing the requirements and standards for the Firm’s Enterprise-Wide Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions Programs. You will also be responsible for performing an assessment of alerts for potential Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing or Sanctions related activity based on system and manually sourced alerts, consistent with global and local standards.The EMEA STOR Investigations Team (ESIT) is part of the wider GFCC organization. You will be is responsible for investigating referrals of potential market abuse across all asset classes and processing cases appropriately in a timely manner.Job responsibilities:Investigate and analysis potentially suspicious market activity referred by Surveillance/business teams or other areas of the bankWrite and present case reviews with recommendations to LOBC colleagues in the UK and EMEAThe composition and submission of Suspicious Transaction and Order Reports (STOR’s) to the FCA or ex-UK Line of Business Compliance HeadsProduction metrics, MI and analysis to explain the findings from investigationsEfficiently respond to regulatory enquiries from the FCA and other overseas regulatorsPrioritise multiple tasks and escalate issues when appropriateRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:You have a good working knowledge of the financial markets, and an interest in the trading of Fixed Income/Equity productsPrevious experience within Investment Banking and/or Control Room highly desirableYou possess excellent investigative instincts and background/experience in reviewing trade surveillance alerts is advantageousYou have strong analytical skills and are detail orientatedYou have knowledge of relevant legislation (MAR)You have the ability to effectively partner with key stakeholders and technology partnersAdditionally you possess:initiative and judgementthe ability to prioritise conflicting demands, be proactive, well-organised and work under pressureskills to work with management and forge strong partnerships with colleaguesthe ability to work independently and in teams and the readiness to share knowledgestrong oral and written communication skillsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:Degree or overseas equivalent would be desirable but not essentialExperience in the development and implementation of system enhancements including the documentation of business requirementsNon-English language skills welcomeAbout UsJ.P.
