About The RoleThe Compliance Assessor will have a clear focus on safety, quality assurance, technical competence and compliance aligned to company policies, procedures, and relevant industry legislation.You will be responsible forFollowing our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence and having these specific risk responsibilities:
  • Ensuring business compliance in respective areas, this to include LOLER, Fire, DSEAR, PUWER and any other compliance categorised areas.
  • A targeted number of safety, technical and quality assurance assessments, both site and desk based.
  • Site based internal and external audit/verification to support investigations regarding equipment incidents/failures.
  • Provide appropriate reports within specified timelines to WL2 Compliance managers.
  • Produce technical updates and support information to stakeholders across specified areas.
  • Providing ongoing support to operational activities, encompassing company/legislative change.
  • Regular updates on changes to company safe systems of work with regards to compliance.
  • Support PPM/SOP creation and amendment/alteration as required.
  • Communication, administration, and status reporting for all Legal inspection categories
  • Coordination and monitoring of Verisae data for KPIs and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintaining an overview of maintenance compliance & planning activities on Verisae with a focus on optimisation of contractor and Tesco Maintenance attendance.
  • Coordination and overview of contractor quality audits liaising with relevant contract manager.

You will need
  • Management and delivery of legal compliance regulations within an engineering environment e.g., DSEAR, LOLER, PUWER
  • Engineering experience (essential)
  • Engineering qualification (preferred)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (essential or willing to work towards with first year)
  • Administrative skills to include IT & Microsoft Office suite
  • Working with external regulatory bodies
  • Customer/stakeholder escalation management
  • Resource scheduling
