Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a six month contract within the Public SectorCandidates should be motivated to positively impact upon the lives of individuals and communities affected by crime within West Lothian. The Community Payback Team is responsible for the supervision of Court Orders for all individuals made subject to an Unpaid Work requirement. The successful candidate will work alongside the existing team members, with daily responsibilities including supervising, managing and directing small groups of client’s subject to Unpaid Work Requirements.Working under the guidance of the Project Officer, the post holder will have opportunity to be involved in the assessment, arrangement and ongoing day-to-day operation of placements and work squads. Key responsibilities of the post will include ensuring adherence to health and safety requirements and safe systems of work, undertaking dynamic risk assessments when required and the promoting of pro-social values.The postholder will be required to undertake work out with normal office hours and at weekends but within the contracted weekly 36 hours. Whilst primarily based within the Community Payback Order team, the successful candidates will however be expected to work across the wider Justice Services Teams to meet the exigencies of the serviceEssential criteria for this post includes possession of driving licence, relevant experience of working with people and good Time Management skills.This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being offered.
