Community Mentor (Tamworth)

Salary
£24,000 per annum

Hours
37 hours per week; fixed-term contract until 31st March 2023.

This is an exciting role working in the community to provide advice, guidance and mentoring that helps individuals to improve their life chances. Please note, it is a role working outreach in South-East Staffordshire, including Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth and East Staffs.

Successful applicants will need to be self motivated, very confident in the use of Microsoft office applications and be able to liaise with both partners and external organisations at all levels.

Duties
To motivate, encourage and support participants to move into sustainable employment and tailor a package of support for customers to meet individual needs.

To deliver employability/soft skills training including motivation, CV writing, interviewing skills, life as an enterprise, self-employment and e-commerce.

To contribute to maintaining participant records, including reviews, individual action plans and evaluations in line with the company’s standards.

To maintain regular and ongoing contact with participants and employers to offer advice and guidance where needed.
