Job Description

Are you looking for a job that doesn’t feel like work? How would you like to make friends with people in our community who need a bit of extra support to help them live happily in their own homes?

We are recruiting kind, caring and compassionate people to join our team of care professionals.

Working with Home Instead, you will be supporting people with daily tasks from personal care and administering medication, to shopping and companionship and everything in between, as well as being a friend and companion to those we support.

You’ll need to be happy driving around Weston super Mare and Worle. But don’t worry, as we always pledge to keep your travel time to a minimum, and you’ll spend the majority of your time working with your lovely Clients.

Home Instead is a privately owned, independent home care provider based on Worle High Street. It was established in 2012, with the vision of providing a premium quality service to Clients, but also creating an enjoyable and happy working environment for its employees.

Having a dedicated management team with many years of experience in community care, means we know exactly what it’s like to do the job!

We pride ourselves on :

  • Being independently owned, friendly and approachable – our doors are always open!
  • Having excellent rates of pay (£12 weekdays and £13 after 6pm and at weekends, with a rate of £15 per hour for specialist care.)
  • Paying double on bank holidays.
  • Offering guaranteed hours contracts.
  • Ensuring you have your own regular Clients so you can form meaningful relationships.
  • Having a minimum visit duration of 1 hour, so you can have plenty of time to socialise as well as assist with tasks!
  • Offering many different ongoing training courses for continued professional development.
  • Being based on our local High Street, so you can pop in whenever you want for a chat, hot drink and a biscuit.
  • Holding regular team social events for staff and activities for our Clients.

We also pride ourselves on being open and transparent. We want to ensure our staff are happy and are achieving everything they are looking for in a role with us, whether that is monetary, socially or academically.

Qualifications

The main things we look for in candidates for this role are:

  • Being kind, caring and compassionate.
  • Having a driving licence and access to a car.
  • Be able to work every other weekend, as the majority of our Clients need help 7 days a week.
  • Be wanting to make a difference to people’s lives and become a genuine support for them.
