An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hearing and Vision Team in Wiltshire Council for Communicator Guide/Intervenors to work across Wiltshire.

About The Role

A Communicator-guide acts as the eyes and ears for people with an acquired dual sensory loss. They offer support for Deafblind adults to access the local and wider community, for social and leisure activities and other support including; going for meals, shopping, banking, dealing with correspondence, communicating in a range of formats including clear speech, British Sign Language, Deafblind manual .

An Intervenor works with those people who have a congenital dual sensory impairment.

About You

You must be enthusiastic, adaptable and friendly with a commitment to ensuring the individual/s you work with get the best out of their lives.

The successful candidate will preferably hold a full clean driving licence and will have access to their own vehicle and be able to travel across Wiltshire. You must be able to work flexible hours to suit the service requirements and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
