The post holder will contribute towards the overall aim of promoting the work of Public Health England to its target audiences, including the general public, the media, health professionals and government.

We are looking for an organised, creative individual who is a self-starter with first-rate written and verbal communication skills.

You will need to be able to deal with a wide range of people at all levels, have a flexible approach to your work and work well in a team. An excellent news sense is essential and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will be able to deal with complex scientific issues and explain them clearly.

You will be adept at drafting high quality content, which will make an impact across a range of communications channels for diverse audiences. In addition, you will have an interest in dealing with complex scientific issues and statistical data and develop the ability to explain this information clearly to non-scientific audiences.
