About the Team
Gerald Eve’s team of marketing and business development professionals provide full marketing mix advice and support across all areas of Gerald Eve’s business. From branding and marketing communications, through to winning better business, managing our key client relationships and sector-specific research services. The team is highly respected and integrated within business teams and sector groups.

Job Description
This is a new position to support the Marketing team, focusing on PR and communications. The role will work closely with the wider marketing and business development team as well as the business as a whole. There are 3 key strands to the position; internal and external communications, public relations, and marketing coordination duties, that will provide excellent exposure to the marketing team’s remit.

Main responsibilities
  • Internal and External Communications: In coordination with our Senior Marketing Communications Manager, this role requires someone with excellent writing skills to produce content for a wide range of marketing platforms including our website, employee CVs, case studies, intranet news stories and brochures. The role will interact closely with the graphics team and business groups to help proof and edit copy, in line with brand and tone of voice guidelines. The role will also help coordinate the delivery of The Hub, Gerald Eve’s weekly internal newsletter, as well as helping to manage our social media output in conjunction with our digital marketing manager.

  • Public Relations: in coordination with our senior marketing communications manager, business development managers and our external PR consultants, this role will align themselves with business groups to uncover PR leads and newsworthy content to promote the firm as Leading Experts. In addition, the role will help draft press releases for new joiners, award submission content, blogs and thought pieces. They will act as an internal point of contact for all press related enquiries, liaising with our PR consultants, as necessary.

  • Marketing Coordination: This is a key role within the team to ensure we are delivering the highest level of service to the business and our clients. The role will work proactively to map out opportunities such as coordinating our awards programme and managing our web CV library.

  • This role would also provide cover for our senior marketing communications manager and digital marketing manager when they are on leave or need additional support.

About you
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience in providing content for internal and external communications.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, coupled with excellent time management.
  • Interest in the real estate sector.
  • Experience within a marketing team or a PR company and a desire to move in-house.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, experience in SharePoint would be advantageous and CRM systems.

Working hours
The Firm’s core hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and you may choose to start and end your day around these hours, provided you still do your 7.25 hours per day (e.g. 8.00 am – 4.30pm, 10.00 am – 6.30 pm). There is no requirement for this to be the same each day, but you are required to keep your manager informed. This position also involves out of hours working on an ‘as necessary’ basis. We are open to considering flexible working arrangements for everyone; this can be discussed during the application process or upon commencement.
