Job Description

  • Using a variety of strategies, channels and tactics to warn, inform and engage communities in relation to my client
  • Work, manage and influence as part of an effective, multi-team, incident response and fulfil multiple response roles
  • Setting up and taking part in regular training exercises
  • Building a deep understanding of the dynamic issues landscape affecting my client
  • Thinking ahead to provide timely and expert counsel to the business, including the Executive Leadership Team
  • Developing creative and engaging proactive national and regional programmes on key safety topics to reach key audiences using all relevant channels
  • Producing multi-media content for earned and owned channels.

The Successful Applicant

  • Demonstrable relevant experience of managing engagement activities in a complex organisation
  • Experience of managing or supervising staff
  • Experience of developing and delivering engagement plans and strategies
  • A high level of IT literacy, including social media
  • Strategic, forward-thinking, analytical, problem-solver
  • Able to decisively manage and prioritise tasks
  • Ability to influence and positively challenge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - with the ability to deal confidently with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to work as a leader and as part of a team
  • Proven ability of working at pace to produce high quality work to tight deadlines.
