Introduction

Our client is looking for an experienced Communications Consultant with experience in internal and external comms, to be part of a motivated and passionate team at the heart of defence and national security, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be experienced in developing and delivering communications and engagement activity and managing a range of stakeholders.

Hybrid ways of working will be available to the and travel between locations may be required.

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days on site per week.

Key responsibilities
  • Responsible for supporting the delivery of internal and external communications activities.
  • Produce communications for Media engagement and journalist background briefings.
  • Product internal workforce communications.
  • Development of communications materials (engaging briefs and copywriting).
  • Internal and wider event engagement including conferences.
  • Support campaign delivery through a network of cross-government communications and engagement teams.
  • Effectively utilise digital channels in comms delivery.
Skills & experience
  • Experience within a communications role within Defence/Government.
  • Experience of working in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Understanding/proficiency in communications and engagement best practice.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of events management.
  • Good understanding of digital channels.
