Job Purpose

A new member of the Communications Team to lead campaigns in highlighting work done by Palace for Life Foundation and showcasing its impact across south London.

Work with Head of Fundraising and Communications to identify and implement campaign opportunities, whilst increasing awareness of the Foundation and the work it does across all forms of media.

Job Summary

  • Devise and deliver awareness campaigns to highlight Palace for Life’s work and projects to CPFC fanbase and key partners.
  • Devise campaigns that highlight work done by Palace for Life Foundation through a variety of means, including written article, press releases and social media campaigns.
  • Use the power of video and imagery to tell stories of Palace for Life Foundation.
  • Identify and highlight regular case studies through various means (article, video, imagery).
  • Use targeted marketing (emails and online), to grow reach of Palace for Life messaging.
  • Implement and own the customer/supporter journey (from parent, partner, young person, or Crystal Palace F.C. fan to an active Palace for Life Foundation supporter or participant).
  • Write articles and press releases highlighting and driving interest to Palace for Life’s work for use on our website, CPFC website, CPFC programme articles and external media partners.
  • Support with promotion of Palace for Life programmes and activities
  • Take ownership of internal communications.
  • Build relationships with external media and press companies
  • Writing, coordinating and editing communications to be shared internally and externally
  • Manage the Foundation monthly newsletter, Holiday mailing and Events and Fundraising mailing lists, and keep audience up to date with communications.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on campaigns.
  • Have a flexible approach and a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, as and when required.


Job Requirements


Essential

  • Writing for different channels and audiences
  • Experience leading and delivering marketing or awareness campaigns
  • Experience implementing supporter journeys
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels within the Foundation, the parent club and high level outside contacts.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to think clearly, creatively and imaginatively.


Desirable

  • Awareness and understanding of the local community and the potential challenges and opportunities faced by residents.
  • Interest in and understanding of football
  • Experience of identifying and highlighting case studies
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Use of Wordpress, Google Analytics, SurveyMonkey or similar software
  • Use of eTapestry or other CRM software
  • Approachable with ability to form relationships with variety of diverse stakeholders
  • Solution-orientated
