We’re recruiting for a proactive and passionate Communications and Marketing Coordinator, to join our growing International FMDM Administration and Communications team!

This is an exciting new role, where you will be responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of effective and creative internal and external communication and marketing. As part of this role, you will ensure that the values and mission of the organisation, and wider community, is reflected, through our diverse and varied channels, such as websites, social media accounts.

About Us

The Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM) are an International Religious Congregation of Catholic Sisters. Ladywell Convent is a beautiful property in the heart of Surrey, which has been our own Congregation’s Franciscan home since 1956. The Franciscan Centre Ladywell is located here, along with two communities of FMDM sisters. As a staff member, a Mission Partner, you will work alongside the Sisters to bring your professional expertise and experience in your field, to enrich the FMDM mission.

About The Role

Day to day, you will manage and further develop our communication and marketing plan, including, but not limited to:

  • Writing and editing content for website and social media, both for the international charity, and for the Franciscan Centre Ladywell
  • Creating photos and videos using a DSLR camera (provided) to enhance your content creation
  • Undertaking specific marketing tasks for the Franciscan Centre Ladywell
  • Designing and planning news updates to Sisters and Mission Partners
  • Designing and producing Congregational documents and booklets
  • Managing and co-ordinating our SharePoint intranet, ensuring that content is up to date and stored effectively
  • Maintaining our digital and printed on-site exhibition material in Ladywell

About You

To succeed in the role of Communications and Marketing Coordinator, you will need to have previous experience in a similar role, have an eye for composition, and have a flair for design/presentation. You will need to be able to work with accuracy, and tailor your communication methods accordingly, to ensure the message you have been asked to convey is tailored to desired target audience. You will work with empathy, collaboration and work in a way that engages with the mission, values and goals of the FMDM charity. As the Communications and Marketing Coordinator, you will need to have confident digital and social media skills, with the ability to use systems such as Office 365, Mail Chimp, Eventbrite, Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, and to learn new software with ease.

Salary: Up to £29,000.00 per year
