Do you want a rewarding career where you can really make a difference?

Have you got experience in an internal communications role and are looking to work for a leading mental health charity?

If so, you could be the person we are looking for

We’re Rethink Mental Illness, a leading charity provider of mental health services in England. We support thousands of people through our groups, services, policy, campaigns and advice and information. Our work supports us in delivering on our mission: “A better life for everyone severely affected by mental illness.”

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Communications and Content Project Manager to join us on a fixed term contract.

As Communications and Content Project Manager you play a varied and flexible role in supporting the communications and marketing needs of the charity. A key focus will be on proactively locating and delivering engaging content and imagery that brings to life both the experiences of people severely affected by mental illness and their carers and the work of our services to improve the quality of people’s lives.

Your work ensures we source a steady flow of content that engages and resonates with our audiences across all our owned communication channels, including our website, social media channels and internal communications. Your work will also flow into our earned communications – notably media.

This work extends beyond sourcing content on an ad-hoc basis it also includes identifying and putting in place sustainable systems to ensure ongoing effective management of content and imagery. Systems and processes that ensure that people feel they genuinely own the content we produce and that it honestly reflects their views and experiences. Systems that also enable content to be shared across the charity (with appropriate permissions), for example with our fundraising team. You also ensure that people who provide us with content feel connected to the charity and are kept updated both on the impact of copy produced and wider developments in the charity.

In everything we do, we seek to demonstrate our values: Passion, Commitment, Openness, Hope, Expertise and Understanding. If these values resonate with you, we would love to hear from you.
