Seed is the Creative People and Places Project for Sedgemoor. Our ten-year vision is to ensure that everyone living and working in Sedgemoor has a chance to experience more creative arts and culture. With funding as a Creative People and Places National Portfolio Organisation from Arts Council England in place until April 2025, we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-starting Communications and Project Coordinator to co-ordinate our communications activities including social media, marketing and public relations, and to administer and support Seed projects.

The Communications and Admin Coordinator will support the artistic and strategic vision of the programme, ensure its activities are well publicised and documented and work with the team on the development, delivery and evaluation of the programme. This is achieved by:

  • co-ordinating the full range of marketing and communications activity including but not limited to research, branding, strategy, public relations, audience development, data management and promotion including website and social media co-ordination.
  • assisting in the development and delivery of projects and events, including co-ordination of some small project activities.
  • supporting the team in working closely with community hubs and associates, Consortium members, artistic mentors, organisations, voluntary groups, artists and other stakeholders and partners to fulfil the aims and objectives of the CPP programme.

Responsibilities

● Delivery of all the communications needs of the programme including marketing, social media, public relations etc

● Supporting the Programme Director and Producer & Community Engagement Manager in the delivery of projects and events, including coordinating small to medium projects

● Coordination of of key data including our CRM system

● Ensuring marketing objectives and audience development goals are considered and reflected in the design and development of new activities

Qualifications

Essential Experience

● Co-ordination of communications &/or marketing planning, activity and social media channels

● Experience of project-based working including prior responsibility for coordinating projects, and a track record of delivering them within budget and on time

● Demonstrated experience of working independently and flexibly across a range of responsibilities

● Experience working collaboratively with other organisations in the public, private and third sectors and the community

● Administration such as data, file, contact and/or calendar management

● Previous experience working or volunteering in the arts and cultural sector and/or with communities

Knowledge and Skills

● Excellent communication skills

● Ability to work across simultaneous projects, contributing to an overall strategy

● Understanding of digital technology including social media, design software and networking

● A full clean driving licence and use of a reliable car

● A demonstrable passion for the arts and creative practice

● An ability to work effectively independently and unsupervised as well as part of a team and to develop effective partnerships with other collaborators

● Ability to plan and organise a complex workload, meet strict deadlines and a mature and resilient approach to working under pressure

● An understanding of and commitment to diversity and inclusion

● Ability to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required.

Desirable

● Educated to degree level or equivalent

● Graphic design/layout skills and experience

● Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Wordpress and/or Capsule CRM or similar

SALARY: GBP £25,480 per annum
