Dedicated Commissioning Engineer with solid electrical drives & controls background - specifically multi-drive systems - urgently required to join one of the most experienced players in the systems integration market. This client has an excellent reputation for delivering complete turnkey projects to a worldwide client base and are a leading UK automation solutions provider and systems integrator.

Duties Will Include
  • Site installation, commissioning and management
  • In-house testing and on-site commissioning of various industrial projects
  • First point of contact for the customer
The candidate will ideally be qualified to degree level in electrical/electronic engineering, have previous experience in a similar environment along with a good working knowledge of a range of Drives, PLC’s and automation/electrical products.

Experience Required
  • Managing and documenting the information required for the successful completion and commissioning of a project
  • Experience of drives/control and automation in varied industries such as metal, printing, paper, automotive and warehouse/distribution
  • Accustomed to working well both on your own or as part of a team
You will have a solid understanding and practical experience of drive protocols and load sharing. In addition, we are also interested to speak with candidates with solid experience of working with drives on complex automated winch systems.

The office is based in Shropshire and easily commutable from Shrewsbury, Telford, Cannock, Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent, however extensive travel within the UK and overseas is a requirement of the position. When not on-site commissioning you will be based at their facility in the West Midlands. Although ideally you will be commutable, we are open to candidates further afield who are prepared to stay locally to the office as required.

You must be prepared to be away for up to 6 weeks. Overtime is paid door to door and is an enhanced hourly rate.
