Site Based – Head Office Chippenham

Salary - £61,000 - £68,000 (+ Car Allowance) per annum – depending on skills and experience

About the role

We are now currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager on a full time and permanent basis.

The purpose of this role is to manage the procurement and financial control of all sites; maximise procurement cost savings against budget without compromising timeliness, quality or health and safety.

You will also be responsible for the procurement of materials, sub-contractors, surveying, financial management and reporting during the construction process for contracts; including the provision of general costing, design and technical advice.

As Commercial Manager you will also recruit, develop and manage the Commercial team.

About you

With regards to your education, you should have a degree or equivalent experience. It is essential that you have direct knowledge and experience of procurement and budgetary control of residential developments.

You will have proven practical experience commercially managing projects with individual values ranging from £0.5 - £20M +; with the ability to develop and manage budgets.

It is important that you have sound technical knowledge of construction industry contracting practices and the ability to negotiate. Good knowledge and experience of modern design and construction methods is essential.
