If you are the high performing Commercial Manager/Quantity Surveyor we are looking for, you will have estimating and contractual knowledge, and a background in concrete repair, waterproofing and/or protective coatings or related disciplines. You may even be working in an organisation which doesn’t give you the chance to shine and you are hungry for that opportunity. CSC Services are a specialist contractor for specialist coatings and concrete repair, and we have big plans Over the next few years we will become a sustainable, multi-disciplinary, high performing business with multiple frameworks and regional offices across the UK. We need an ambitious, driven go-getter to join our growing team and enable us to complete projects in a way that adds to the long-term growth of the business. With a professional Quantity Surveying Qualification and significant demonstrable experience you will have the competence and ability to work across industries/sectors. You will be controlling projects and working as Head of our commercial team to track Projects and develop tenders. You will be pricing frameworks that will range from public sector, Utilities and beyond, so will need some experience but more importantly an ability to adapt, develop and grow with us You will work out of our North East office. Further information Requirements/capabilities: Experience as a quantity surveyor – in-depth knowledge of construction costs, contractual issues, legal issues Experience of concrete repair and/or protective coatings industry Overview of role: Produce detailed, accurate quotes Ensure the costs for all current projects are kept up-to-date Provide input into contractual discussions involving costs, extensions of time, liquidated damages etc Liaise with architects, clients, site teams and other professionals Ideal additional aspects of role: Project management support - produce and keep up-to-date project programmes using MS Project / Excel We want someone who is willing and able to step outside the standard QS role and pitch in with other aspects of management in the company – project management, financial analyses, whatever needs doing Requirement of the role Understanding drawings Liaising with site managers/teams, clients, architects, structural engineers and other specialist trades, etc Keeping track of cost and spec variations throughout projects Having good computer skills – MS Office, MS Project Being organised, hard-working and having the adaptability to work in a small team Full UK driving licence Reference ID: QS 21 Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £40,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
