» Who are our Commercial and Sales team?

The team is led by our Commercial Director (EMEA) and in short, is responsible for introducing our technology to domestic sports throughout the region. It’s a team of people who have a passion for sport and get excited about driving forward the use of technology in the sports that we all love.

You’ll be at the forefront of sports technology, as the team works hand-in-hand with our Product and Operations departments to understand the capabilities and potential impact of our technologies. You’ll also be face-to-face with some of the most well-recognised sports, leagues and competitions in the world, as we work alongside our clients to help them to solve unique challenges and to make sport safer, fairer and more engaging.

» What The Job Is All About

You are going to play an important part in the strategic growth of Hawk-Eye Innovations in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. The key things that you will be responsible for are delivering new revenue stream development, developing existing commercial opportunities, and ensuring the renewal of current contracts.

Location:UK or Europe. You’ll spend time in our London office and our Head Office in Basingstoke, but you’ll need to be prepared to travel in order to spend time with our clients.

A Day in the Life

Your day-to-day life in this role will be varied, as you manage a range of projects and clients at different stages in their lifecycle.

You’ll become an expert in all things Hawk-Eye, keeping up to date with current technology and operational developments and maintaining relationships throughout the business. You’ll also need to maintain networks and relationships throughout the sporting landscape and will be expected to participate in industry events.

Using this knowledge, you will identify opportunities within the EMEA region where existing Hawk-Eye solutions can be developed to meet the needs of current or prospective clients; in addition to determining where possible opportunities may lie.

Once you’ve identified an opportunity, you will lead on proposals and responses to RFPs, building commercial bids and response collateral. You’ll then drive the process through pitches and negotiations, all the way to the signature of contracts. You’ll also work with our Commercial Director and Regional MDs in supporting major pitches and proposals.

It doesn’t end there once a deal is sealed, as you’ll need to maintain and build those client relationships, with the ultimate goal of delivering long term, sustainable contracts. And of course, you’ll need to stay up to date with all of the tech and operational developments within Hawk-Eye.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • University Degree or equivalent;
  • Sales and Business Development experience in a successful branded company;
  • Experience within the Sports industry and technology;
  • Experience of working across a global business within a multicultural working environment;
  • Commercial acumen and great analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication and the ability to build credibility amongst existing and future customers;
  • Attention to detail and creativity when building engaging collateral and sales responses;
  • Proactive, organised, efficient with time, diligent, able to prioritise and be self-sufficient;
  • A good understanding of the key languages spoken in the region is preferable including but not limited to Spanish, Italian, French and German.
