Be critical to our success as a Commercial Combustion & Oil Engineer in Kier Places – join the Kier Facilities Management team on the Wiltshire County Council contract looking after the county’s public buildings in your area.


Commercial Heating Engineer – Combustion, Oil & Gas (Mobile)

Location: Covering Wiltshire County

Business Area: Kier Places – Facilities Management – Wiltshire County Council

Contract & hours: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Package:company van, standby & call out, including out of hours & weekends


Kier Places are recruiting for a Commercial Combustion Engineer, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Facilities Management Hard & Technical Services solution for our prestigious client, Wiltshire County Council.


Responsibilities

As a Commercial Combustion Engineer with Kier, your day to day will include:

  • Attending and completing both reactive and planned maintenance tasks within the agreed timescales

  • You will be covering commercial public/council buildings of a variety of ages so some plumbing, heating, combustion, oil & gas systems tasks will be included

  • Assisting in delivering a safe, cost effective, compliant service in order to meet contractual and legal obligations


Who are we looking for?

The role of Commercial Combustion Engineer is great for you if:

  • You hold relevant Commercial Gas Safe qualifications, certifications & tickets. We are looking for Level 3 C&G/NVQ, COCN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICAE1, ICPN1 and TPCP1A.

  • Commercial Oil OFTEC qualifications with experience on oil burners & LPG

  • You have been able to manage workloads, meet deadlines and are able to diagnose faults.

This position is a mobile role so you will require a full driving license, be able to travel across the county to different sites. There is also an on-call rota system covering out of hours and weekends.
