Are you looking to join a dynamic and innovative company at the forefront of the property development industry? We are seeking a highly motivated and financially minded individual to join our Business Development team as a Commercial Finance Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our business growth by providing financial analysis, market research, and pricing insights. The role is based in our Harrogate office working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm.Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis of future projects, both financial and non-financial, to support the business development team.
  • Perform market research to gain insights into rental levels and occupancy for PBSA, BTR, Co-Living & SFR sectors.
  • Build accurate accommodation schedules based on floor plans and client information.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to propose rental levels, operating pricing, and assumptions.
  • Prepare and analyse historical financial information to facilitate financial and business development projects.
  • Lead and support various value-adding commercial projects, including revenue and cost analysis against projections.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to financial modeling.
  • Assist in the preparation of NOI (Net Operating Income) reports for existing and new business contracts.
  • Liaise with clients to address initial queries related to NOI models.
  • Work with the Sales team to gather feedback on rental proposals and market trends.
  • Support the preparation of pre-commencement budgets for projects.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients by providing financial expertise.
  • Offer financial support and analysis as required for different projects.
  • Prepare and manage Energy Forecasting, collaborating with utility brokers/consultants.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial modeling.
  • Suggest and support process improvements to enhance team productivity.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
  • Conduct market research specific to PBSA and BTR sectors.
  • Manage and prioritise workload to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Qualified or Part Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with a willingness to develop in commercial finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different departments.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work within agreed timescales.
