Commercial Analyst - Part Qualified Accountant

Typical Work Responsibilities Of The Commercial Analyst Include
  • Aiding preparation of all reporting from Commercial and Finance designed for Group/senior management
  • Ensuring timely and accurate distribution of reporting and analysis to relevant stakeholders
  • Supporting Month end divisional consolidation and reporting packs including validation of commercial and finance commentary
  • Analysing business data to derive valuable insights, examine current business profitability, and identify improvements
  • Support with consolidation of budgeting and reforecast submissions with associated analysis
  • Aid in development and usage of robust, consistent models to be used across all entities
  • Support the MI Manager with commercial and financial due diligence for potential new acquisitions
  • Liaising effectively with Finance and non-finance representatives from each entity to provide business partnering benefits
  • Prepare regular, reporting and analysis to monitor business performance, track key initiatives and progress to agreed budget & reforecasts
  • Assist in preparation of regular business update packs for Management use
  • Supporting the MI Manager to develop and implement strong controls and procedures within the Commercial area, providing a strong base for the continued rapid growth of the business.
  • Support the MI Manager with ad hoc projects
  • Consistently and accurately complete tasks on a timely basis, ahead of internal / external deadlines.
Qualifications And Specialist Training Required For The Commercial Analyst
  • Part Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant.
What experience / skills are we looking for the Commercial Analyst?

The essential skills/attributes are: -
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of core management accounting
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial impact of accounting experience, and business partnering
  • Advanced Excel skills, including clear and concise data presentation, graphs, and comfortable manipulating large data sets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of interacting across all levels of the organisation including dealing with non-finance people to gather relevant information
  • Experience of fostering strong working relationships within the Commercial / Finance team and across the organisation.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Show an impressive attitude and not only take full responsibility for their duties but are enthusiastic to take on new challenges which will develop their own career.
