We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team to support us in our analysis and in the decisions we make moving forward. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, this role will support the Finance team and wider business with weekly, monthly and annual reporting, budgeting and forecasting as well as commercial insight and analysis, enabling management to make key business decisions. This role is part of our lovely Phase Eight team however as part of the wider TFG group you will have involvement in the preparation of group reporting and exposure to our wider finance team.

Your key responsibilities as Commercial Finance Analyst will include:

  • Weekly trade analysis for all business channels around Sales, Margin and Stock
  • Creation, improvement and maintenance of financial and trade reports
  • Variance analysis and investigation, ensure reporting and data is consistent across the teams
  • Partner with Merchandising to produce all stock reconciliations
  • Retail Partner; Act as the primary contact for all retail analysis and requests
  • Store by Store P&Ls, including channel analysis by:
  • Set KPI targets and track including: Footfall, Conversion, ASP, ATV
  • Support Merchandising with Retail stock analysis focused on availability and sales opportunities
  • Trials – support retail to determine the basis of trials, selected and control sets Measurement and communication of results
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly overhead reports for all head office departments, preparing monthly accruals schedule for finance team to post at month end
  • Hold monthly budget review meetings with each department and set action plans

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and financial modelling skills and have experience working in a multi site environment (eg. Retail or Hospitality.) You will be an advanced user of Excel and an excellent communicator, comfortable interacting with both financial and non financial stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. It would be great if you have knowledge of accounting and stock systems such as Sage, Merret or Cognos.
