Overview

Centrica Business Solutions (CBS) is currently seeing a rapidly changing energy industry landscape and increasing opportunities for business consumers to manage energy demands through utilising onsite generation (CHP, Heat Pump, Solar, Storage and EVs), managing efficiency and capturing existing flexibility across industrial business processes. We work with business consumers across the UK to deliver projects that reduce energy consumption and/or generate energy.

As we grow, recruiting the right people is essential and we currently have an exciting opportunity for aCommercial Assistant.

The Role

The role of the Commercial Assistant is to support the Commercial Team and to provide day to day administrative support between commercial and sales to ensure effective and efficient administration from contract close-out through to handover.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience of providing commercial support in a dynamic and fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Location: Salford – Home based
  • Salary: Up to £28,000 dependent on experience

The Person

Duties Will Include But Not Be Limited To
  • Own the management of sales order acceptance process within the business, ensuring all orders are reviewed and accepted on time and in accordance with the Commercial Quality Management System
  • Ensure that all sales contracts are stored in the company contracts database, correctly reflected on Salesforce and produce accurate reports for the business
  • Own the process for completion of Sales Agent, Confidentiality, Project Development and Centrica Standard agreements
  • Support the service and projects teams with contractual queries and assist with drafting novation and variation agreements
  • General administration duties to support the commercial team

To be successful you will have the drive, energy and excellent attention to detail, including:
  • Outstanding organisation and planning skills to deliver results accurately and often under very tight timescales
  • Ability to prioritise/manage own workload and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Adherence to quality management processes to ensure accurate capture and storage of important information is crucial
  • Confident and effective communicator with ability to build relationships and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Whilst experience in a legal, finance or business/contract administration role would be an advantage, candidates with other relevant experience will be considered
  • Continuous improvement skills and the ability to review and suggest improvements to existing processes
  • Good Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills essential
