JD Austria & Germany have been going through extensive growth plans over the past few years; where they now have a combined number of over 80 stores, which have generated a combined FY22 revenue of circa €199.4m.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Production of the Group Budget pack.
  • Production of the monthly Group Forecast pack covering written and numerical variance analysis, trackers to budget and forecast and store contribution reporting.
  • Significant amounts of ad hoc analysis across acquisitions (both due diligence but also bringing acquired businesses accounting processes into the Group way of doing things).
  • Store/ company performance (monthly Organic report showing year on year performance by fascia across the Group, LFL sales reporting, bridge analysis of last year to this year etc).
  • Finance lead in cross function projects.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified (nearing the end of exams) CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA accountant.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal required.
  • Strong analytical skills required in order to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall business performance across the Group.
  • Experience of management accounting essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Experience of TM1 preferred (though training will be provided).
  • Experience of Oracle Financials useful (though training will be provided).
  • Retail industry experience desirable.
