CNC Miller/Turner | Aberdeen; AB12 | 39-hour week | £34,000 - £40,000 per year, depending on skills and previous experience Our client has been designing and manufacturing innovative hydraulic solutions since the 1950s. These solutions are specifically developed for the needs of a variety of distinctive industry sectors, including oil and gas, subsea, heavy industry, industrial process and barrel working machinery. This role brings an opportunity for promotion to charge hand for a candidate demonstrating an appropriate level of skill, enthusiasm and willingness to take on additional responsibility. The successful candidate will earn £34,000 - £40,000 per year, depending on skills and previous experience. Are you the right person for the job? Minimum Qualification 4 Year Engineering Apprenticeship Minimum 5 years in a similar role Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings Good CNC machining and programming skills in an engineering workshop, such as measuring, machine set up, turning, drilling, grooving and threading Good understanding of surface finishes, speeds, feeds and how to achieve specific finishes Knowledge and experience in machining various metals including carbon and alloy steels, bronzes, stainless and nickel alloys What will your role look like? Machining the range of company parts in the most efficient manner and to a high-quality standard To ensure that all working practices are safe and in compliance with HSEQ regulations and other company standards Ensure that all work carried out complies with the instructions given Being aware of activity target times, ensuring these targets are achieved or bettered Attending Toolbox Talks to ensure a complete understanding of what is required, prior to the commencement of work Responsible for personal health and safety and that of others around you What can you expect in return?
